Skiers and snowboarders celebrate closing day 2009 at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
After a week of controversy, the Last Tram party returned to Jackson Hole in just about all its glory. After two incidents in which old and current tram cars were damaged, the resort had threatened to shut down the iconic lift if any snowballs were thrown on the last day of the season.
Just enough snowballs were thrown to buck authority and uphold tradition, but not enough to do any harm.
The controversy was overblown, and the party proceeded as usual, thanks to the Iron Monkey sound system and locals determined to promote a positive vibe.
