Catexis is an interactive piece constructed upon digital transformations of four phonems emitted by the dancer that operate as a sonic bio-extension of her body motion.
These phonemes which constitute the sonic and dance seed of the piece are choreographed in space using ring of eight loudspeakers that surrounds both the stage and the audence. All the music of the piece is created through continuous transformations of these four phonemes
Catexis alternates dance and light gestures with moments of total darkness in which the audience focuses on the sonic objects and immerses in a virtual space created by the movements that the phonemes and their transformations perform across the sound installation.
