Manuel Tozzi - Wald der Dinge

In the installation Wald der Dinge Manuel Tozzi deals with the social issues of the transformation of written language through digitalization and how it effects the right of co-determination of the individual. The concept behind the installation is based on the Bavarian forest regulations from 1568 and Tozzi’s scientific work „The alphanumeric textspace as a source for authority in the digital revolution“. Wald der Dinge tells the fictional story of a medieval farmhand that Tozzi animated by his voice and by using the motion capturing technique.
