Stephen Cassell: Risk Conference at Taubman College on March 30, 2012
Stephen Cassell, AIA is principal, with Adam Yarinsky and Kim Yao, of Architecture Research Office (ARO), a 25-person firm based in New York City. In 2011, ARO received the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Architecture. The American Academy of Arts and Letters honored Cassell with its 2010 Academy Award for Architecture. He holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from Princeton University and received his master of architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Cassell taught at Harvard Graduate School of Design, MIT, Princeton, Syracuse, the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of Virginia, and University of California at Berkeley. He is chair of the Van Alen Institute Board of Trustees.
