Craig Ritter calls a wild turkey as we where investigating tar sands oil on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. A whistle blower who was a former Enbridge employe led us to the area where he was told to just bury the oil. The EPA has signed off on this area of the river and it is now open to fishing and other recreation. Heavy oil is not hard to find on the banks and in the water of the river. This section of the Kalamazoo is part of the worst midwest oil spill in History. So far the EPA has estimated that they have recovered 1.3 million gallons of oil.
