Jodie Cantrill first fell in love with swimming as a child when her mum used to place a swimming ring on her.
That early memory has spurred the 17 year old to take up competitive swimming and she's raced at national swimming competitions and in Japan.
The Pottsville teenager had a setback when she was forced out of the water for more than a year to have shoulder reconstruction surgery.
But Jodie is now back in the pool giving 110 percent and looking forward to heading back to Japan this year for a swimming championships.
