Komorebi 2 now works with moving wallpapers. Yay! I thought I was going to have same experience as the first iteration, which I did to begin with. The trick is that you have to create a thumbnail file. This is then placed in the same location as the video folder created in your /home directory. In this instance Komorebi was installed on FerenOS x64 2020.04 based on Kubuntu with KDE Plasma 5.18.
