Looking for a decent location with graffiti for an upcoming photo shoot, I discovered this event from enthusiastic radio controlled power truck drivers. In a big event hall in Mechelen, those guys, women and kids did built a whole city on small scale. It was clear that some of the man are also truck drivers during their day job, but they clearly can't get enough from their big machines.
One scene was particularly funny to watch, and I regret I couldn't stay longer to make more photos and videos: one man sitting on a chair in the middle of the city construction, digging up ground with a mini caterpillar, load it on a truck and than drive that truck to the other side of the city. Almost continuously, at least some 10 kilograms were already moved.
The few little photos and one video were taken with the 50mm 1.4 on a 5D MarkII. Again no tripod, so my apologies for the wobbly image. The video was edited with ProShow Producer, in order to test it's ability to combine photo and video. Conclusion: it's fast to make 'something' fast. But don't try to be original or invent own effects... And it did crash pretty often too I must say. Nevertheless a great piece of software.
