Katy Connor & Helena Gough
A collage of x-ray images, medical ultrasound, analogue glitches, super8mm film and digital video: Afterglow reveals a corporeal topography, both unsettling and vertiginous.
A collaboration between Katy Connor and sound artist Helena Gough, the work was prompted by repeated visits to the motorway interchange ‘Spaghetti Junction’ as a site of noise, overlap, surveillance and leakage. Researched and developed as part of the Interdisciplinary Support Programme at VIVID, 2007.
Screenings and gallery installations include VIVID, MRA Video Salon, Exeter Spacex and outdoor projections in Liverpool and Frankfurt.
