Target's 2010 holiday campaign was built around original music scored by popular and up and coming artists. Due to licensing restrictions we weren't allowed the give away the songs on iTunes or anywhere else so we turned to the classic YouTube meme of taping a spinning record in order to share a song that otherwise couldn't be shared. We then created a YouTube playlist to listen to the album in its entirety that quickly got people listening to the songs all day at work. We also created an extension of the Target app and an iAd that played all the songs and videos for people to enjoy on the go.
