Slivers of Necessity is a poetic video exploring chance, necessity and being exiled, out of place. I shot the vision and wrote the poem. Joe Hesch kindly read it for me. It experiments with slow media aesthetics to create an auratic presence and relationship to place. The video was all shot on my iPhone.
It was first screened at the Directors Lounge in Berlin in February 17, 2012 PLACENESS curated by Shaun Wilson, then in the 3rd Mina International Mobile Innovation Screening - see mina.pro/call-for-smartphone-mobile-and-pocket-camera-films/ for details.
