A Thousand Hands is a poetic documentary featuring singer songwriter & activist Joe Holtaway as he reads the words from his song, A Thousand Hands - a song that explores the need for a kinder, more equal society and specifically the hardships faced by displaced people seeking Asylum.
Joe is a regular volunteer for the Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers. SDCAS provide a wide range of holistic services which support, promote and secure the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in the London Borough of Southwark. It is the vulnerable people who rely on services such as SDCAS that find themselves at greater threat during the COVID 19 crisis.
The #LeaveNoOneBehind campaign was set up to highlight and help protect the more vulnerable people in our societies during this time.
