In the fight against the spread of COVID-19, China had to adopt strategies to confront two distinct phases of the epidemic: stopping the virus spreading from Hubei to the rest of the country, and now, as restrictions are slowly lifted, mitigating the risk of COVID-19 spread to the general population in the long term. This means integrating infection prevention and control, among other measures, as part of citizen’s daily routines.
In the fourth webinar of the series organized by the IDB’s Social Protection and Health Division, through its CRITERIA NETWORK, in collaboration with the Office of Outreach and Partnerships, we invite you to learn more about China’s experience in addressing COVID-19.
This session will be dictated by Dr. Gong Sen, Executive Vice-President of the Chinese Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), and Mr. Li Bingqin, Professor of the Social Policy Research Center of the University of New South Wales. Other experts from the National Health Commission and the Chinese Center for Disease Control (CDC) will join the webinar as well.
