Not a very exciting video, but important none the less
The Chronos 2.0 software package is now a full fledged beta. Im still doing some debugging but what i am really happy about is the accuracy this system provides.
In this video the camera only moves one inch, however in that inch it takes 450 images, with velocity ramped WSM shooting. (WMS = Wait, Shoot, Move)
The smallest movement the camera performs is the first interval where it moves 1/32,000 of an inch. the largest movement is only 1/226th of an inch.
What makes this interesting is that to my knowledge this is the most accurate time lapse rail ever developed. :)
This means a whole new world of macro time lapse with not only motion control but smooth velocity ramping is now available. for sprouts, bugs, and other very small things.
We will be going commercial with Chronos 2.0, i am not sure what the price will be, i already have 3 other Chronos 2.0 rails that i have been comissioned to build. If you have any questions or might be interested let me know.
I am running some repeatability testing as well, ill be sure to post those here when i have them finished.
