On Monday, April 23, 2012, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (CRPC) put on their third annual "No Strings Attached" banquet for over 300 homeless men, women, and children.
David Rosa, Jr. the Benevolence Coordinator as of February 2012, was a big part of putting this event together. He said they work hard to minister to the community, the volunteers, and the homeless. But it isn't just a one night thing. David said they reach out to the homeless community on a weekly basis.
On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, they offer food and clothing to anyone with low or no income. CRPC also gives them a ticket to be used for their weekly Wednesday night dinner at the church, followed by a midweek sermon, usually led by Senior Pastor, Tullian Tchividjian.
"The community knows us well," David said. "They're a part of our church. It's a little different from other ministries where [they] might go out and take food. We actually want them to come [to] our church. We love them as our community and as our friends."
