Audio Transmission seeks to extend the continuum between digital technology and te ao Māori presented by Kereama Taepa into the aural realm. This public programme was a partnership between Objectspace and Auckland Arts Festival.
Celebrated Māori musician, Horomona Horo will fill the gallery with layered soundscapes, weaving together different elements of sound making, each connecting and expanding their unique methods of performing.
This will be a journey through harmony, melody and beats, incorporating taonga puoro, waiata and live loops. The artists will progressively build the aural experience to create an immersive sensory encounter.
