Puppet Power Productions presents: The Great WASH Wars
First performed at the British Council's New Delhi building in February, 2012, The Great WASH Warsis a classic story of good winning over evil against all odds. Filled with magic, intrigue and sports, the puppet show targets young children ages 5-12 with the message of cleaniliness and good hygiene. This show was the first project in an initiative of WASH United to promote the washing of hands as a simple and effective way of preventing diarrhoea among children
As a fellow on the project, my task was to create a mobile, knock-down set and stands that can be part of a touring production. I created set pieces, a stage that can be assembled in under an hour and also promotional material for the project. The production will travel to villages and towns in northern India in late 2012.
