"Wabi Sabi: Imperfection"
Our delusion that we can triumph over nature; our illusion of safety that we create through "permanence" and "perfection"; and our limited aesthetic concepts of beauty and art, are all related. We look down on crafts, we see the elements of everyday life as cliche, we think nature-as-art has long expired.
This project came to existence looking through the Lens of Wabi Sabi, the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of appreciating everyday life, hence the temporary, therefore “the imperfect”... Life is temporary, Imperfect is beautiful.
