David Fox has been a professional photographer since his teens. Originally a photojournalist, he earned a degree in filmmaking at Emerson college in 1982, and opened a video production company. In 1993, finding himself widowed with two small children, David re-examined his goals in life. Inspired by study at the Maine Photographic Workshops, he returned to his roots, building a reputation for excellence in portrait, event, commercial and fine art photography. In recent years, partnered with his second wife, Greta, he has created his own niche as a specialist in corporate, special event and convention photography. David is the photography sponsor for ISES/NE, MPI/NE, PCMA/NE, NESAE, the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mass. Lodging Association, North of Boston CVB, and many local Chambers of Commerce and has photographed for the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority and the Citi Performing Arts Center. He has partnered with the Art BeCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit committed to funding research dedicated to eradicating environmental causes of breast cancer. Together they have embarked on two photographic projects, the first entitled “Illuminating the Survivor Spirit: A Photographic Journey” a series of portraits on women and men who are breast cancer survivors, and the second project, “Men, Breast Cancer and the Environment: A Photographic Journey.” All are Marines who have had breast cancer.
