QUARANTINE TRILOGY is a work prepared for the virtual performances marathon "Corpi sul Palco | Performance from home in quarantine time" curated by Andrea Contin and streamed live on the website corpisulpalco.com on May1 and 2, 2020.
The work is representative of this very moment of my life, full of joy thanks to my son Sole, and it's composed of both intimate personal home scenes and a new performance, which is inspired by my previous work Virus Tableaux Vivant, realized for the Flash Art Fair in 2004 and part of the VIRUS series.
But if in Virus Tableaux the red dots – symbol of “sold” in art fairs – are sticked onto my body, criticizing the objectification of the female body, in QUARANTINE TRILOGY they become an immediate recall to the disease that has shaken the whole world, and my action becomes a symbol of the healing power of love.
