Director/Production: Marshall Zar
Marshall has both formerly studied tropical ecosystems/sustainable agriculture and lived full time on farms and intentional communities implementing permaculture design. It has been his initiative to partner with organizations to help promote sustainable agriculture through media. This video is intended for broadcast in highschools throughout the Big Island and Hawaii Islands as a tool to promote and encourage sustainable agriculture as a relevant and accessible career for Hawaii residents.
Hawaii Institute of Pacific Agriculture, located in Kohala on the Big Island, is a great resource for sustainable agriculture, tropical ecosystem management and permacultural design.
Here Dash, the director at HIP Ag speaks a bit about the institute and life on the farm as a learning experience for young people. To find out more about HIP Ag: hipagriculture.com
