Scores for Isolation is a series of 6 instagram live broadcasts during which the publication Another Version: Thinking Through Performing will be used as a tool, and a lens, to address our current collective situation of confinement. Offering scores and exercises to listeners to be tried ‘at home’ and applying the notion of multiple selves and performative research strategies, we will explore and discuss this state of intermediacy. Each episode will have a different focus – Where’s the Arena?; Stuck with My Selves; Doing Time; Mad Mode; Speculations and Track and Trace. Listeners are invited to participate through the live feed or by emailing contributions.

Episode 2 of Scores for Isolation was called Stuck with My Selves
The scores, quotes and texts which we posted beforehand were an invitation to explore questions like: Who are we now, what do social distancing and aloneness do to our sense of self? What does confinement do to the way you think, your mental space, how you experience yourself? And what about the physical lack of touching and being touched because of the 1,5 meter distance? Is versioning – the creation of other versions of the self – a necessity now, can it save us from loneliness, boredom, homogeneity, or from insanity? Or are we conversely getting crowded by our own multiplicity.
