In this video, our speaker, Quentin Tannock from Cambridge IP, considers the role of intellectual property and policy in the climate change debate, in which IP is seen as the protector and promoter of innovation on the one hand and an unhelpful barrier to technology and knowledge transfer on the other. Quentin discusses alternative IP models that could both encourage investments in innovation and facilitate the transfer of low carbon technologies to the developing world.
