this video is about a very important feature - content filtering. As parents, we understand that it is necessary to filter the content your children are exposed to on the internet these days. Kidslox is going to help you protect your kids from harmful content with its Content filtering feature.
To find this feature go to Apps tab and choose Content filtering.
Here you will see the following options:
The first is ‘Content blocked by Kidslox’ - it contains a blacklist of several million dangerous websites of different categories (Adult, Violence, Drugs, Gambling) which is updated on a weekly basis. When you install Kidslox, this option is enabled by default.
The Second option is ‘Content blocked by you’. Here you can manually block any unwanted websites. To add a website that you want to block, tap on the padlock sign, type the name of the website in the field and tap the ‘plus’ sign to add it to the blacklist.
Now, when a kid tries to open this website he will see this message. You can add as many sites as you want.
The third option is ‘Internet access’. When you lock internet access on iOS devices, all the apps that require internet won’t load. When you lock internet on Android devices, apps that require internet access (including web browsers) won’t be able to load new content.
The fourth option is Youtube Restricted mode. This is a native Youtube feature which hides dangerous videos from Youtube automatically making them impossible for children to access. This feature is enabled by default.
The fifth and sixth options are Bing Safe Search and Google Safe search. These options are also enabled by default. They block most dangerous materials from appearing in Google or Bing search results.
For all Content filtering features to be enabled they should be marked with the lock sign. If you unlock them, the harmful content will become accessible to your children. For this reason we suggest keeping these options enabled.
