I know, I know, there is much bigger surf out there. This was a decent day though. My first day in water that wasn't just flat this year. The water is still quite cold, but when you think about it, it is the warmest it has been all year! :) No ice cream headaches on this day. Dominion Beach Provincial Park is not any kind of 'surfing' mecca, but it is a fun place to get out and play around in the surf...to do a little surfing, work on balance, bracing, practice rolling and self-rescues...get your skeg jammed with sand etc. etc...and it is close to home, which is nice. Also fun for me was the chance to do more shooting with my GoPro HERO2, try some different POVs, and learn how valuable antifog inserts are! And ofcourse, it was great to get out and simply use the beach which has seen and continues to see its share of hardtimes. Video: Go Pro HERO2, Stills: Olympus TG-310, VESW: Corel VSPX5U.
