Old School is Metro’s walk through the Old Testament. We started this journey years ago in the book of Genesis and we are working our way through the entire Old Testament.
The idea is that sometimes to move forward...you have to look backwards. So we are examining the story of God in the Old Testament to find out where we fit into HIS story TODAY. While some may be tempted to think the Old Testament is stale or outdated, we believe that you will find this series relevant, engaging and compelling.
TODAY: God’s mission in this world is to give people the greatest gift of all: himself. And the Bible is clear that God has invited us to join him in his work on Earth. God truly desires to USE us but he only uses one type of person: those who are DE-PENDANT upon him. In order to partner with God in his work to give the world himself, we must be de-pendant on him. And de-pendence on him begins and ends with one thing: PRAYER. In order to know God, love God, serve God we MUST ac-tively and continually be con-nected to him in prayer. So, what should prayer look like in our lives? Today we will discuss that and more.
