Jared Blondeau has done chiptunes for about 4 years under the name Sievert and played most of his shows in Austin, the most notable of which were the first 3 Datapop shows at SXSW. He also played shows in New York, as well as an Australian tour that included the Sound Bytes and Brisbane events. Jared’s last Game Boy album was on 8bitpeoples, which is a big chiptune netlabel.(8bitpeoples.com). Eventually he decided to put "Sievert" to rest in a heroic car accident assassination attempt explosion, and so now everyone thinks he is dead. The artist formerly known as Sievert still makes music under his full name of Jared Blondeau and is currently doing contract work for a new game company in Austin called Minicore Studios creating sound effects and writing game music.
