2011 Education & Social Reform Program_ : It's eight'o clock in the morning in South Africa on July 26, 2011. The landscape around the school is rural, and very dry terrain. There is very limited resources within the area of the school. Many students walk many miles to get to school on time. We were welcomed by Principal Harry Rapoo and a sea of students with smiling faces .
After visiting the school, and meeting with Principal Rapoo I was inspired by his enthusiasm to create a vibrant and safe learning environment for his students. Of all the schools, I visited in South Africa, the students at BMP shared how much they enjoyed expanding their minds and filling it up with knowledge about the world they never knew existed. Hmmmm...what better way to introduce the world to these learners than through the pages of books. The inspiration behind the Books for Bachana project.
