On April 26, 2012, at the Charlottesville Omni Hotel, Charlottesville Tomorrow held its second annual community conversation. Dr. Katherine Loflin, the national expert for the Knight Foundation's Soul of the Community Project, spoke about placemaking, the attachment factors that research by Knight and Gallup shows connect people most strongly to the place where they live, and that promote happiness and economic vitality. Loflin was joined by a panel of local residents to evaluate the research along with community narratives for the city of Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
