The subcamp Berlin-Lichterfelde had existed since 1942. The prisoners came from the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. The barrack camp was built for 1500 people, on Wismarer Street, next to Teltow Canal. The prisoners were forced to work in construction and work brigades of the SS.
Occasional transports to the main camp made it possible to get to Ernst Schneller from the illegal 'management' of the communist prisoners in Sachsenhausen. He was informed of the resistance group around Georg Schumann.
Schneller was particularly interested in weapons for a possible self-liberation or a defense against the mass murder of the prisoners. Three subcamp prisoners stole a pistol and ammunition through theft and illegal cross connections.
At the beginning of Covid 19, it was very difficult to get reliable information about the situation in Iran.
The situation there has now normalized.
People go back to work, schools and shops are open. I call my mom every day. It is important to me to know that she is fine.
