Got my McGyver RCmod today... YEAH.. Celebrated by spanking my arDrone 2.0 around Griffith park for good clean fun. Tried some long pulls which I would not have tried driving with the iPad.
* notice how the grass and details fall apart when the drone speed up, I was recording to medium bitrate, just found out on the replayXD.com website how to adjust the bitrate to high.. hopefully that will fix some of the compression issues.
Overall, the new arDrone 2.0 is a far more "competent" ride than the original was, firm and well flying. Cheers to Parrot for a job well done.
Somehow managed to "flip" the drone, at 4:05 flipped me more than the drone, but after the flip it just hang there, I literally snatched the drone by the battery. turns out the RCmod cable had come undone.. Im going to make sure that don't happen again.
Camera is the replayXD in the under-mount, I made a even shorter mount to keep it closer to the drone and trimmed the nose of the drone down to 1 inch of the narrow part to keep it out of the video. *at the end the nose still show up so not entirely successful... oh well...
