Theresa Dunn is the Eastern co-chair for the Canadian Department of Peace Initiative. Her parents were refugees form Malta were they were forced to leave due to the war taking place. As a result Theresa has been very inspired by her parents struggle to leave Malta and settle in Canada, which at the time, was just starting to accept other cultures. Theresa defines peace as a sense of calm and security within ones self. It is also the absence of fear and the obsession of control.
