Weber State University - Dorm Life
Have you ever procrastinated something for 20+ years? Yeah, me too. I love to play around with pictures and videos, so it's a little surprising...but I am finally getting around to editing some raw footage I took at the dorm I lived in at Weber State University (Ogden, Utah). They were taken in December of 1991 and then again in April and June of 1992. Wow...I can't believe that was 20 YEARS ago though! I am getting SOOO old!!
I spent four years at Weber State, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a Business minor. My academic scholarship paid for my room and board...so I lived in the dorms (same dorm/same floor) all four years. All of the dorms seen in these videos have recently been demolished to make room for new dorms.
Weber State is a "Commuter School," meaning that just about everyone lives off campus and drives to school. The few of us that did live in the dorms mostly did so because we were on scholarship. A lot of the athletes lived there for this reason. Most of them were from out of state...but a bunch of them were from different countries as well. It made for a very diverse and interesting group of people.
NOTE: Using a camcorder wasn't an everyday thing back in the day. One of the RA's (Eric) was the only guy that had one (as far as I know)...and he was one of the few that had a computer in his room too. He was sweet enough to let us borrow his camera for a few days :). I'm so glad I have these memories documented...since my memory seems to be shot in my oh-so-middle-age...
