We travelled to Iceland with Nokia and Kin Design to document the launch of a Nokia 808 PureView smartphone into space. With a 41 megapixel camera, where better to take a photo than the ethereal heights of the Earth's stratosphere?
Iceland’s interior is a cold and uninhabitable combination of sand and mountains. An abundance of volcanoes has given rise to a staggeringly unique landscape. Such is the island’s alien terrain, NASA sent its astronauts preparing to embark on the first moon landing to the island for training.
On reviewing the image taken by the 808, the reason for our journey, our adventure, comes into plain view and suddenly everything is perfectly pure – as it should be.
