This is my showreel including work from my time at Bournemouth University studying Computer Animation and Visulisation (BACVA) and personal projects. Download my detailed breakdown here chuckbanks.com/banks_reelBreakdown.pdf
Robber and Girl Scout animation clips are from the short I worked on called 'Cookie Dough' which can be seen here. vimeo.com/44039885
It features in order...
Robber Rig - A biped rig I created used in the group project I was involved in at University. It features stretchy limbs, stretchy + twisty spine, foot roll, eye movement, automatic eye-lid deformation and a facial rig.. Detailed demonstration here vimeo.com/49227854 - Model by Stefan Tsvetkov
Girlscout Rig - A biped rig I created also used in the major group project at University. It has the same features as the ‘Robber Rig’ plus dynamic hair and a dynamic skirt.. Detailed demonstration here vimeo.com/49244648 - Model by Stefan Tsvetkov
Saber-Tooth Tiger rig - A quadruped rig I developed as a personal project, this was initially my innovations project at university but I have since then improved it. Model here thefree3dmodels.com/stuff/animal/ice_age_rigged_sabretooth_tiger/24-1-0-1083
Maya Asset Manager - A Python and SQL plug-in for Maya I created which organises assets for projects. A SQL database stores information on assets such as names, file types, descriptions, change-logs, thumbnail files and version numbers. Allows one to organise scene files into different projects and gives the ability to import, reference or open them. It also includes a thumbnail generator based on the appearance of the Maya view-port.
Super fun facts! : I animated the shot of the girl scout wearing the yellow hard hat reaching for the money bag. I animated the saber-tooth tiger quadruped rig. I was responsible for all the money effects in my group project! I edited this showreel video!
Thanks for watching!
