How do people relate to electronic music in a subway station? MUTEK festival has set up METRO ART, a series of shows in public space, featuring Montreal's finest electronic music artists.
At 5pm, just as Montreal rush-hour commute begins, MUTEK performers took over the mezzanine-level platform of Montreal's Berri-UQAM metro station. At this most trafficked station on the city’s metro line, unsuspecting commuters were greeted by the electronic sounds of some of the most exciting local talents!
PUBLIC UNDER GROUND is a three piece web series, initiated by MontrealMUSIK.TV, featuring Montreal artists BOWLY, MATEO MURPHY and THE GULF STREAM as they conquer this public underground space with their music. Enjoy episode 1 : BOWLY
Special thanks to MUTEK festival for letting us film and Jan Pienkowski for his collaboration and the composing of the title theme!
