This is a gift to my mother Patricia Heidtke Solberg, on Mother's day - May 13th, 2012
She passed away on December 17, 2011
Much of the footage in this video was shot on and around Lake Charlevoix, the 3rd largest lake in Michigan. My mother had been visiting Lake Charlevoix since she was a baby and had fallen in love with the place. Almost all of her summers were spent there swimming, fishing, sunbathing, floating, boating, and being with friends and family. One of her very favorite parts of being up there was watching the sunsets. To her, nothing could compare to the beauty of a Lake Charlevoix sunset. She would usually sit at the end of a dock and watch the sunsets, and after I was born I would often be there in her lap. I've had some of the greatest moments of my life there. Per her wishes, she will forever remain as a part of Lake Charlevoix when my stepfather and I spread her ashes there this summer.
She was a beautiful woman and an absolutely amazing mother, which is what I intended to portray in this video.
