Fortified Studio was tasked by Genentech to create several custom-fabricated multitouch kiosks that scoured social media sources for chatter around their brands and presented them on a dynamic 3D interactive timeline. Our intelligent backend software allowed them to enter custom keywords, which were then used to intelligently search for relevant hits across Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr, in addition to Genentech's own media sources. The result was then distilled onto an interactive multitouch timeline that leveraged Adobe Air 3.2's GPU-Accelerated Stage3D graphics through the Away3D 4 API. The end result gave Genentech an engaging way to explore a birds-eye view of what they were saying about themselves, and what the world was saying about them.
