Zechariah 2: 8-13 “! GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies (Jehovah Tsaba), the One of Glory who sent me on my mission, commenting on the godless nations who stripped you, said, "Anyone who hits you, hits me—bloodies my nose, blackens my eye. (9) Yes, and at the right time I'll give the signal and they'll be stripped and thrown out by their own servants." Then you'll know for sure that GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies (Jehovah Tsaba) sent me on this mission. (10) "Shout and celebrate, Daughter (Branch) of Zion! I'm on my way. I'm moving into your neighborhood!" GOD's Decree. (11) Many from the godless nations will be linked up with GOD at that time. ("They will become my family! I'll live in their homes!") And then you'll know for sure that GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies (Jehovah Tsaba) sent me on this mission. (12) And GOD will reclaim his Judah inheritance in the Holy Land. He'll again make clear that Jerusalem is his choice.
Quiet, everyone! Shh! Silence before GOD. Something's afoot in his holy house. He's on the move.”
This is an amazing, power-packed prophetic scripture that is found in the 2nd chapter of Zechariah (above). The Amplified Bible renders that last statement, “…God is aroused and rising up…” In this teaching, Dr. Don G. Pickney unveils a little known part of scripture that heralds the history of God’s great "Sabbath Rest" on the seventh day after creating the earth and Mankind, and at the end of this age, rises up AGAIN to bring to pass the greatest event since He created Adam on the Earth.
Of course, it is common knowledge that “God rested on the seventh day from all His work.” But it is not so common knowledge when He may rise up out of His Sabbath Rest to begin working again. We will show in this audio/video teaching that the event of God rising up to work takes place at the end of the “Gentile dispensation,” or what we know prophetically as the end-of-the age. We open up revelation from the scripture to introduce God’s “rising” from His “rest.”
Dr. Pickney centers in on two connective scriptures found in Zechariah where an angel of glory declares "Be silent (stop and stand in awe) all the earth for God has raised up out of his Holy Habitation (sabbath rest), as is also seen in the book of James:
Zechariah 2:8-13 “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye. (9) For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. (10) Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. (11) And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. (12) And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. (13) Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.”
James 5:1-4 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. (2) Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. (3) Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. (4) Behold, the hire (wages) of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth (Greek/Hebrew Transliteration of the Hebrew, Jehovah Tsaba).”
Pastor Don also takes the time to address verse 12 of Zechariah 2, “And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.” He points out that in prophetic scripture, Israel in the Holy Land serves as God’s “time clock,” for the end of the age, beginning with their return from “dispora,” scattered throughout the nations, as they gather back to the land of Israel. In Zechariah’s prophecy, he inserts the “time clock,” showing that this great event of Zechariah’s prophecy is to occur, or come to pass after Israel’s return to the Holy Land, e.g. (12) “And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.”
Therefore, these two connective prophecies could not begin their fulfillment until verse (12) was first fulfilled, which began its fulfillment with their U.N. permitted statehood at that time. We are now in the season of fulfillment for both Zechariah’s and James’ prophetic fulfillment season!
