Minority language speakers in Kenya experience the truth of God's Word when they stop trying to understand Scripture in other languages and start studying it in the language they understand best. For so long, these speakers were content to just understand what the Bible was saying in other languages. But now they see that there is a big difference between understanding God’s Word and comprehending it. As more and more languages are being translated, Kenyans are finding that they have a deeper and better knowledge of what the Bible means to them, and an increased excitement for learning and reading more.
Wycliffe’s mission is to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025.
