Agnostic Electric Gospel - Chill, sutra psychedelia
AEG was written in preparation for my trip to Nepal where it was debuted live. My goal was to create an album of music about love without referencing religion or romance.
It's a solo album. I play the electric guitar and sing, with a plethora of effects units. There is looping on both guitar and vocals, and I developed a tactic of tapping a piece of metal against the pickups in order to loop a rhythm on some songs.
Much of this album comes directly from the sutras I was creating for myself during a time of healing. The sutras changed my life, and I hope they inspire you too.
This song was the most likely to cause people to walk out on my show, in the history of my performing live shows.
In terms of music marketing, this should not be the last song on the album, if on the album at all.
For those same reasons, this is the last song on the album. It's a difficult song to hear, and it's about difficulty.
What about the pain?
It’s still here
I don’t know
I’m still here
