Our first venture into community arts as R&A Collaborations. OYAP Trust ran the "Elements Festival" at the beautiful "Hill End Centre" outside Oxford. The day saw pupils from a wide variety come together for a multidisciplinary arts day. There were poets, musicians, makers, movers and shakers running activities throughout the day. Our activity was delivered in two sessions, two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Participants were driven through multiple activities which made the many components required to complete the films. We took the participants for a sensory walk through the grounds, wrote Haikus, took photographs, devised a vocal soundtrack, recorded the sound, built the animations and edited it all together ready to watch back at the end of each two hour workshop. The four films have been compiled into one screening here. Each section was completed in 2 hours from start to finish. It was a fantastic day which we was a pleasure to be a part of. Special thanks to our volunteers Caroline, Emma and Nick.
