NOT MY PIECE - postcapitalism for beginners

The choreographer and performer Martin Schick performs a first-hand economic investigation, which he brings onto the stage for the audience to understand and experience for themselves as a socio-political science fiction. What can new economic systems look like, and above all, how do they work? How much do we need for our own personal prosperity? Can less really be more?

The theatrical event emerges increasingly as a sort of crowdsourcing for an actually planed research centre, disguised as work of fiction. A play as a starting point for a long-term project: A piece of land, which becomes an open stage.

NOT MY PIECE is a play between reality and the irrational. Simple strategies for new economic life are implemented pragmatically, treated as things of visionary substance, and at the same time as absurdity. A sensual demonstration that there is another way!
