Every year, on the two first weekends of May, kayakers from many countries go to Mecca of sea kayaking. The tidal races Penryn Mawr and South Stack offer perhaps the world´s best conditions for sea kayaking. Factories Rockpool and NDK are also located on Anglesey, and these enjoy some cult status for how well they perform in conditions like these.
Runar has a deck camera, David and Frøystein film from their helmets.
The parts with a green kayak are filmed in strong current, but low waves - surfable with a strong effort. The shots with yellow or blue kayak are from Saturday: Low current, but low swell with just the right period for easy surfing. From May 13 we have no video, but pictures in gale wind against the slow tidal current. Guides were Harry and Phil from Nigel Dennis´ Sea Kayak UK.
Kayaks were mostly NDK, but Joe and Harry paddled the faster Rockpool Taran.
