John is an average guy who buries a lot of unexpressed feelings that he fears may come forth later in unpleasant ways. He mourns the death of a loved one and struggles to escape from his suppressed emotions and disproportionate rage. He overreacts to minor provocations and constantly represses feelings that affect the quality of his relationships with people around him.
An unexpected turning point came about when a life changing intervention breaks John out of his inner confinement. He learns that “if you cannot take yourself out of it, then put your heart into it.”
