This slideshow is a window into my ten-day visit to the slums of Nairobi with Africa Yoga Project (AYP) in November 2011. Visual documentation of NGOs project work is imperative to its sustainability. These images were created to help AYP broaden its reach and increase awareness. Music by MC Yogi.
From AYP: "Africa Yoga Project uses the transformative power of yoga to empower communities and change lives. Today over 4,000 people participate in more than 200 weekly outreach yoga classes in 80 locations, including community centers, prisons, orphanages and schools throughout Nairobi and in the Masai village of Amboseli. Fifty-eight Kenyans from the slums have been trained to teach Baptiste Power yoga. Visit africayogaproject.org for more on this project that is leading the change!"
