In 2010, Thailand experienced its worst political violence in decades.
Anti-government protestors, known as Red Shirts, took to the streets
for nine weeks. Government troops cracked down on May 19, 2010. More
than 90 people died and 2,000 were injured during the violence.
On May 19, 2012, tens of thousands of Red Shirt supporters staged a rally
to commemorate the day and demand justice for the killings.
