In this short time lapse film, we attempt to convey the beauty of the Himalayas and the culture of the Nepalese people.
The film was shot during our 16-day trek to Everest Base Camp in Khumbu, Nepal. While José captured the beauty of the region through photography, I recorded monks, porters, yaks, prayer flags, and every other sound I could.
In this film you can see alpenglow setting across towering peaks, the bustle of high mountain communities, and the peacefulness of glacial lakes. You can hear the chanting of monks and local women in a monastery, the ding of prayer wheels, and passing yak trains.
It is our best attempt to help bring you to this beautiful part of the world.
