As part of the meeting, we were able to see something you don't see every day: a living room intentionally set on fire. We went to one of UL's testing facilities in which they had built a typical living room, complete with large couch, side tables, coffee table, lamps, TV and TV console, children's toys, curtains, pillows, and carpet. Nowadays, essentially all of those products, from the fabric in the couch to the foam in the stuffed animal, are plastic-based and therefore contain petroleum.
