Sometimes the fog rolls in at Ellwood and makes for a really cool dreamy effect. Here the wind is about 10-12mph and coming more from the west (right side), letting me use the vertical lift on one flat section of the slope.
This video is cool because the fog really helps show off the slow motion optical illusion these ultralight planes can provide. If you fly smoothly, you can exploit their very low stall speed to really suck every drop of energy out of the lift, extending figures while keeping the speed very low and the space very small. It's like a puzzle and very fun to do.
